In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic’s increasingly complicated happenings, social distance requirement implemented has resulted in severe damage to Vietnam. Disturbances in psychology, life rhythm and employment, the decline in socio-economic growth have profoundly affected each single person and the peace of each country.

In response to the call of the President and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, University of Law – Hue University conducted charity activities in supporting community to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic.

From April 13 to April 17, 2020, University of Law, Hue University organized a donation campaign among officials, lecturers and staffs for supporting the people affected by the COVID-19 in An Tay ward, Hue city, Thua Thien Hue province. As a result, 100 gifts with the value of 300,000 VND/gift including essential necessities were given to jobless people, poor families and sick, old or lonely people.

Continuning with the meaningful activities of fighting against the COVID-19 pandemic, in 18th April 2020, at La Lay Gate, Quang Tri province, Hochiminh Communist Youth Union of University of Law, Hue University in cooperation with Hochiminh Communist Youth Union of Thua Thien Hue Department of Public Security, Vietnam Joint-Stock Commercial bank for Industry and Trade (Vietinbank) and businesses in Thua Thien Hue province gave 2 tone of rice, 11,000 face masks, 1500 bottles of hand sanitizer water, 200 cans of instance noddle, 100 medical protective clothings to the Department of Security of SeKong and Salavan provinces, Lao PDR.

The medical devices, goods and necessities have promptly encouraged, shared difficulties and support the Laos officers, soliders and citizen to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic’s heavy consequences. Furthermore, this program also presents the stable relationship between Vietnam and Laos and the community responsibility of Hochiminh Communist Youth Union of University of Law, Hue University.

Facing complicated and unpredictable happenings of the COVID-19 pandemic, University of Law, Hue University hopes to make a small contribution, to join hands with the Government, the Ministry of Health and relevant agencies to repel the pandemic. Hopefully, the responsibilities and the hearts of the University's officials, lecturers and staffs will continue to be widely spread in the community, so that our country can get the victory in the fight against the pandemic.
