STAGES OF THE UNIVERSITY’S DEVELOPMENT
The University development stages are divided into specific milestones as follows:
* Early stage
     The University of Law, Hue University, formerly known as the Faculty of Law, affiliated with the University of Hue established in 1957. In 1975, along with the unification of the country, the Faculty of Law of the Hue University completed its training mission. On November 19, 1990, the Rector of the General University (now the University of Sciences) issued the Decision No. 304/TCCB to establish the Sub-Department of Law, then renamed the Department of Law. On January 26, 2000, the Director of Hue University issued the Decision No. 020/QD-DHH-TCNS to establish the Faculty of Law as a unit under the University of Sciences, based on upgrading the Department of Law. The structure of the Faculty of Law included 3 departments: the Department of Administrative - State Law, the Department of Private - Civil Law and the Department of Economic - International Law. During the developing process, the teaching staff of the Faculty of Law has continuously grown.

* Separation stage of the Faculty of Law under Hue University from the University of Sciences
     To meet the high-quality legal human resource providing and training needs to serve socio-economic development in the Central - Highlands region and the country, as well as create the foundation for establishment of the University of Law later, on August 19, 2009, the Director of the Hue University issued the Decision No. 868/QD-DHH-TCNS to establish the Faculty of Law under Hue University on the basis of separating the Faculty of Law from the University of Sciences, Hue University.

* Upgrade stage from the Faculty of Law to the University of Law under Hue University
       On March 3, 2015, the Prime Minister issued the Decision No. 274/QD-TTg officially establishing the University of Law under Hue University.
     Currently, the University of Law is organized into affiliated units including: 06 functional offices, 05 faculties and 03 centers. The University is currently allowed to implement 02 undergraduate, 01 master and 01 doctoral programs.
