On the afternoon of January 2, 2024, the University of Law, Hue University in collaboration with FDVN Law Partnership Company organized the scientific conference on perfecting the legal system in the spirit of the 13th Party Congress Documents.

Representatives of Hue University leaders include Dr. Nguyen Xuan Huy, Deputy Head of the Department of Science, Technology and International Cooperation; Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Deputy Head of the Department of Training and Student Affairs attended the Conference.

Assoc. Prof., Dr. Nguyen Duy Phuong (Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Rector); Dr. Nguyen Hong Son (Chairman of the School Council); Heads and deputy heads of affiliated units all PhD students were also present the Conference.

Speaking at the conference, Assoc. Profe. Dr. Nguyen Duy Phuong (Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee - Vice Principal) of the University of Law emphasized: Building and perfecting the legal system has become a central content of building a socialist rule of law state. During the integration process, along with the internalization of law, Vietnam's legal system has gradually overcome differences and conflicts and become closer to international laws.

At the same time, the law-making process has become increasingly democratic, open and transparent. More attention has been paid to consultation with experts and scientists, coordination between drafting agencies and appraisal agencies as well as the rigor of the law promulgation process. This has helped promote the proactive and positive role of National Assembly deputies and suggestions from the people, researchers and practitioners through academic forums such as the Conference.

Giving the keynote speech at the Conference, Dr. Tran Viet Long said: The goal of the Conference is to propose solutions to improve the legal system and organize law enforcement in the spirit of the 13th Party Congress Documents. To achieve the set goals, the Conference needs to focus on clarifying the content on the following topics: Researching solutions to judicial reform; Perfecting the law in the fields of business, civil, finance, banking, securities, administration, state management...; The impact of the 4.0 Industrial Revolution on the Vietnamese legal system; Researching the legal experience of other countries on issues such as: transnational crime, money laundering activities, the formation of a uniform legal framework of ASEAN countries in the fields of buying and selling goods and services, finance and banking, environment, taxes, freedom of navigation. 

After a period of publishing relevant information, guidance and receiving articles, the Editorial Board completed the revision activities and officially published 23 quality articles in the conference proceedings. The articles complied with the prescribed content and form and had high scientific value in perfecting the law.

03 articles were selected to be presented and discussed at the Conference, including:

(1) “Some limitations and problems in resolving disputes about canceling land use rights auction results and some recommendations”, presented by LLM. PhD student Than Van Tai.

(2) “Research international laws  on holographic trademark protection to improve regulations on holographic trademark protection in Vietnam”, presented by LLM. PhD student Do Thi Dien;

(3) “Disputes over insurance premiums in property insurance contracts in Vietnam - Current status and solutions”, presented by LLM. PhD student Pham Thi Viet.

The conference took place successfully.
