On the basis of the visit and working session between the University of Law, Hue University and Champasak University of the Lao People's Democratic Republic on cooperation in training and scientific research on May 12, 2017, the two unities exchanged and discussed solutions to improve enrollment, training management, regimes for Lao students and awarded some study scholarships such as full scholarships, partial scholarships to both undergraduate and graduate Lao students at University of Law, Hue University.

In 2018, the University of Law, Hue University granted postgraduate training scholarships including accommodation, travel and study costs for 02 lecturers of the Faculty of Law and Management, Champasak University participating in the Economic Law Graduate Course in the academic year 2018 - 2020, includes:

* Khammai Vonchalern

* Vixay Kedchanh

In addition, after the working trip, 03 trainees working in the legal agencies of the Lao PDR have participated in Economic Law Graduate Course in the academic year 2018-2020 at the University of Law, Hue University, including:

- Songka Khiemmanykhanxay - Judge of the People's Court of Salavan Province.

- Thidavone Outhianthamala: People's Committee of Pathumphone district, Champasak Province.

- Silavongsa Phoutsavanh: Economic police officer of XeKong Province.

After studying directly at the University of Law, Hue University and registering thesis topics, learners have completed their master thesis writing. However, due to the complicated situation of the Covid-19 pandemic, the thesis defenses cannot be directly taken place in Vietnam. Therefore, on August 24, 2020, the University of Law organized an online Thesis Evaluation Council for the five above-mentioned learners.

The Council evaluated that the topics selected by these Lao learners are in the field of commercial-business law in Vietnam in comparison with Lao law and experiences for perfecting the Lao legal system on commercial-business activities with high practical value.

Also, in 2018, the two Universities also organized a scientific conference on law between Vietnam and Laos. Based on these cooperation results, the University of Law and Champasak University of the Lao People's Democratic Republic will certainly continue strengthening scientific cooperation and expanding the training scale in the coming years./.
