University of Law, Hue University Expanding and Strengthening Cooperation with the Chinese University of Hong Kong
Update day: 13-12-2024Following the participation and organization of the Asian Constitutional Law Forum in Hong Kong, the delegation from the University of Law, Hue University, led by Associate Professor Dr. Doan Duc Luong - the Rector, visited and worked with the Chinese University of Hong Kong on December 11, 2024.
On that day, the delegation was welcomed and had discussions with Associate Professor Dr. Christopher Michael Robert, Head of the Research Group on Transnational Legal History at the Centre for Comparative and Transnational Law (CCTL); Professor Stuart Hargreaves; Professor Agnes Chong; and Assistant Professor Yueming Yan from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
During the meeting, Dr. Doan Duc Luong expressed his gratitude to the Faculty of Law, the Chinese University of Hong Kong for their research activities over the past years. Both sides exchanged information about their institutions and discussed directions for collaboration in research, student exchange programs, and other initiatives. They also proposed several cooperative activities in the near future aimed at enhancing the capacity of the university's lecturers and expanding learning and exchange opportunities for undergraduate and master's students.
The meeting reached an agreement on several proposals put forward by the delegation, including: (i) student exchange programs; (ii) organizing short-term courses for students of the University of Law, Hue University in Hong Kong; (iii) providing support for enhancing research capacity for lecturers of the University of Law, Hue University through short-term research programs and doctoral training in law; (iv) considering the development of scientific research programs in various fields.
The Chinese University of Hong Kong is ranked 38th in the QS World University Rankings 2024. In recent years, the University of Law, Hue University, and faculty members of the Chinese University of Hong Kong have engaged in various collaborative research activities, such as co-organizing the 1st Asian Legal History Conference in 2021 and the 4th Asian Legal History Conference in 2024.
