On July 19th and 20th, 2024, a delegation from the School Council of the University of Law, Hue University, visited Ho Chi Minh City Open University to exchange experiences and learn about their programs and activities.

The delegation from the University of Law, Hue University was led by Dr. Nguyen Hong Son, Chairman of the School Council, and included:

• Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duy Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Rector, member of the School Council
• Dr. Nguyen Cong Hao, Head of the Inspection and Legal Affairs Department of Hue University, member of the School Council
• Dr. Nguyen Son Ha, Head of the Quality Assurance and Evaluation Department, Secretary of the School Council
• Dr. Nguyen Tai Nang, Head of the Planning and Finance Department, member of the School Council
• Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha, Lecturer at the Faculty of International Law, member of the School Council
• Mr. Nguyen Trong Thanh, member of the School Council
• Mr. Huynh Tay, Secretary of the University Union, Secretary of the School Council
• Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa, Secretary of the School Council

The Ho Chi Minh City Open University delegation was led by Dr. Do Sa Ky, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the School Council, and included:

• Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Ha, Standing Member of the School Council, Rector
• Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thuan, Standing Member of the School Council, Head of the Board of Control, Editor-in-Chief of the Scientific Journal
• Mr. Tong Hao Kiet, Standing Member of the School Council, Head of Internal Management, Head of the Organization and Personnel Department
• Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Ha, Secretary of the School Council, Head of the Finance and Banking Department

During the working session, the School Councils of both universities shared information about their history, achievements in education, research, international cooperation, student activities, and their experiences in operating the School Council.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duy Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Rector of the University of Law, Hue University, presented the university's achievements and shared experiences about the School Council's operations.

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Ha, Rector of Ho Chi Minh City Open University, also presented the university's achievements and shared experiences about the School Council's operations.

The members of both School Councils discussed their experiences in organizing specialized committees and secretariats, managing human resources, and addressing issues related to university autonomy.

Dr. Do Sa Ky, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the School Council of Ho Chi Minh City Open University, shared his insights during the working session.

Dr. Nguyen Cong Hao, Head of the Inspection and Legal Affairs Department of Hue University, shared his perspective on the two-tier School Council model.

Mr. Tong Hao Kiet, Head of the Organization and Personnel Department, discussed human resource management in the context of university autonomy.

The working session between the School Councils of Ho Chi Minh City Open University and the University of Law, Hue University is a significant step, not only in strengthening relations between universities within Vietnam but also in contributing to the overall development of Vietnamese education in the context of digital transformation and university autonomy.

Dr. Nguyen Hong Son, Chairman of the School Council of the University of Law, Hue University, presented a commemorative gift to Ho Chi Minh City Open University on behalf of the University of Law, Hue University delegation.
